Within the informatics area, applied interdisciplinary research is conducted within the field of Information Systems. The research focuses on the implementation, impact, and management of information systems in public and private organizations with the aim of creating business value. Research topics of special interest are the interplay and alignment between business and IT, Management of IT-driven organisational changes and innovations, implementation of enterprise systems and finally organization of IT resources. The aim is to be preferred research partners for students and businesses with particular interest in the management of IT.



Our research focusses on Information Systems in both the private and the public sec­tors. Our aim is to provide insight into the complex issues of Integrated Enterprise Systems and to develop solutions to the specific problems in the information system field.

We emphasise methodical pluralisms and make use of quantitative, qualitative as well as engineering methods. We work closely with many Danish and international organisations and emphasize the use of field studies, action research, case studies, and explorative and longitudinal studies. We believe that new valuable knowledge can be gained in a variety of ways and espouse methodological pluralism. Important criteria for the Informatics research are relevance and applicability. Our research therefore combines academic rigour with practical relevance.
