In case your company is planning to focus on new international markets, it would be an obvious opportunity to hire a student aid or intern with cultural and linguistic insights into that market.
At AU Career, Business and Social Sciences we meet a lot of competent, international students, eager to get a study-related job, an internship or a project employment. The majority study their Bachelor or Master here. Most of them have a Bachelor degree and a couple of years experience, and want to to study their Master in Aarhus. All of our international students are offered Danish lessons, but there can be a language barrier to some degree, since most of the communication is in English in the beginning. If the company is prepared for this, they will get an engaged and loyal employee.
We have approximately 1.200 students from 73 different countries at the moment. Most of our students are at present from Poland, Iceland, Norway, Germany and China, and several East European countries. The international students study anything from Finance & International Business (FIB), Information Management, Marketing and Business Performance Management, to EU Business & Law.
Regarding residence permit and work permit, we can inform that 15 hours weekly are permitted automatically, when they get their residence permit. Furthermore they are allowed to work full-time in June, July and August.
International labour is supported politically. Aarhus municipality focus on how to attract and maintain international employees in Aarhus and eastern Jutland.
If you are interested in marketing your job adverts towards students in general, we offer a solution through the AU Job and Project Bank. This site reaches students from AU, Business and Social Sciences. If you want to get in touch with international students, it is important to write the advert in English.
