On Saturday 30 April, 41 female employees from Business and Social Sciences attended a women’s running event organised by the health magazine “I FORM”. This is the first out of three women-only races this spring where the employees’ participation is sponsored by Business and Social Sciences.

For the first time, all female employees at Business and Social Sciences, Aarhus University have had the opportunity to enter three different women-only races, which all take place this spring. The races are organised by the Danish magazines I FORM, FEMINA and Alt for damerne, respectively.
Strong support for the race
The 'I FORM Women’s Race' took place last Saturday at the Horse-racing Track in Aarhus. 41 women from Business and Social Sciences turned up, ready to go for a run in the sunny weather. A total of 4,000 women from Aarhus and environs participated in the race, which started at 2:00 p.m., and the enthusiastic entrants were sent off in groups to prevent the race from becoming too crowded.
The route ran through the beautiful Marselisborg Memorial Forests, past the Tivoli Friheden amusement park and the NRGI Park & Arena and back to the Horse-racing Track, where the spectators greeted the runners with a big round of applause.
Everyone had the opportunity to participate in the race, regardless of physical fitness, as the entrants could choose either to walk 5 km or to run 5 or 10 km.
FEMINA and Alt for damerne up next
The two other female-only races will take place in May. 42 women from Business and Social Sciences have signed up for the 'FEMINA Women’s Race', which will take place on 8 May, and 51 women have signed up for the 'Alt for damerne Women’s Race', which will take place on 30 May.
The participation in the races is a continuation of a tradition at the former Aarhus School of Business, which has previously also sponsored the employees’ participation in the 'Marselis Race' and the 'DHL Relay Race'.
