The Strategic Museum



From positioning and sponsoring to internal communication and management
The Strategic Museum is an interdisciplinary project collaboration between ASB Centre for Corporate Communication and the Centre for Museology at Aarhus University.

The purpose is to investigate Danish museums' strategic communication with a special focus on three key areas: communication, management, and economics.

The project will provide a thorough understanding of how museums act in a complex society and describe what future opportunities they have for working with strategic communication directed at all stakeholder groups, internally and externally.

The Strategic Museum project is supported by The Research Council for Culture and Communication (FKK) from 07.01 2009 to 30.06 2012.
