Aarhus has it all within walking distance

Aarhus, with its 300,000 inhabitants, is situated beatifully in a green valley surrounded by forests and beaches. A thousand years ago, Viking ships were unloading at the harbour by the stream. Nowadays, you will see visitors, inhabitants and some of the nearly 40,000 university students crowding at the bars and cafés along the stream in central Aarhus.

Nominated Denmark's shopping city number one, Aarhus has a throbbing outdoor life which characterizes the old city centre with its narrow shopping streets, cafés and restaurants.

All within walking distance of the 4th NOS venue.

Aarhus also takes pride in magnificent parks and unspoilt natural scenery. From Memorial Park you may enjoy the view over Aarhus Bay and have a stroll in the park around Marselisborg Castle, the Queen's summer residence.

ARoS is an architectural pearl and a world-famous art museum situated next to the confence venue. Also within walking distance of the conference venue, The Old Town is the living experience of a market town at the time of Hans Christian Andersen.
