How to get to Aarhus

It is easy to get to Aarhus. We have two airports close by, national and international train connections, motorway E45 as well as national and Scandinavian ferry connections. Ask your local travel agent for specific information relating to your country.

Aarhus Airport – Tirstrup

Location: 45 km north-east of Aarhus. There is an airport shuttle between the airport and Aarhus Central Train Station. Note that the shuttle mainly connects with SAS flights and departs shortly after landing. The bus ride is approx. 45 minutes.

Billund International Airport

Location: 100 km south-west of Aarhus, right next to Legoland.There is an airport shuttle between the airport and the Radisson Blue Scandinavia Hotel. The ride takes approx 1½ hours.

Copenhagen International Airport

Location: Kastrup, Copenhagen. You can fly to Aarhus or Billund from Copenhagen. Flying time is approx. 30 minutes. Call SAS-domestic for information and reservation: +45 70 10 20 00 or SAS hotline: +45 32 32 68 00.

If you wish to take the train to Aarhus and enjoy the Danish landscape you may catch a train either directly from the airport in Copenhagen or from the Copenhagen Central Train Station to Aarhus. The trip to Aarhus from Copenhagen Central Train Station takes just under 3 hours by high-speed train and 3 hours and 15 minutes by normal train.
